There  are 45,000 - 65,000 homeless children and youth identified by the Chicago Homeless Coalition throughout Chicago and the suburbs.  The challenge of getting an education - even enrolling in school, daunts students of all ages despite strong federal and state laws and policies guaranteeing their enrollment and access to school.  This workshop will offer a comprehensive array of information about homelessness and how to identify, enroll and assist homeless students and their families.  Please bring a laptop or tablet to this Academy.

Cancellations after that date will lead to you/your district forfeiting the right to a refund or non-payment of the registration. Because we understand that, as school personnel, circumstances change from day to day and scheduling conflicts may arise at any time, you may send someone from your district in your place.
